India: South African RB2 coal traded at INR 9,900/t at Krishnapatnam

In a confirmed deal, 5,000 t of RB2 coal was sold at INR 9,900/t at Krishnapatnam while in another deal two rakes of RB2 coal has been sold at INR 9,350/t ex-Gangavaram. Enquiries from sponge iron manufacturers has turned sluggish since past few days amid the ongoing auctions for domestic coal and non-viability of sponge iron production using imported coal at high rates.
