In a bid to liquidate stock, 14,000 tonnes (t) of South African RB2 (5,500 NAR) grade coal were sold at INR 7,700/t in Gangavaram today, while offers for a recent stock stood firm at INR 8,400/t. Supply concerns at RBCT continue to aggravate as civil unrest at KZN province has resulted in Force Majeure at the port, and has lifted the RB1 (6,000 NAR) grade price to $126/t for Aug’21.
