India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 9,800/t ex-Mundra

In a confirmed deal for about 10,000 t, South African RB2 grade coal was sold at INR 9,800/t ex-Mundra, as per latest confirmation from sources. In another deal, 5,000 t of RB2 was sold at INR 8,800/t ex-Paradip, while recent port stock is being offered at INR 9,400-9,500/t. The sellers at Vizag and Ennore ports are, however, heard holding their offers on expectation of further rise in prices in the coming days amid pick-up in demand and lesser coal arrivals from South Africa.
