India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 17,300/t at Paradip Port

There has been an increase in small parcel trades of South African coal amid the rising blending of SA-origin with other origin coal in sponge iron units. Recently, a rake of RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) was heard sold at INR 17,300/t at Paradip Port and 1,000 t was sold at INR 17,200/t at Krishnapatnam Port. Prices of low-CV RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade were assessed at INR 14,750/t with 2,000 t sold at Mangalore Port.
