India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 17,200/t at Krishnapatnam

In a confirmed deal, 3,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 17,200/t at Krishnapatnam Port while another 2,000 t of low-CV RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade material was sold at INR 15,200/t at Ennore Port. On the other hand, Australian 4600 NAR coal prices, being largely used in the sponge iron sector, are assessed at INR 11,300/t. Prices exclude cess and GST.
