In a confirmed deal, 15,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 14,000/t at Haldia, while another 10,000 t of RB2 coal was booked at INR 11,800/t at Krishnapatnam. Enquries from sponge iron manufacturers, however, remained limited across various ports today amid volatile index prices, informed market participants.
