India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 10,600/t at Gangavaram Port

Deals for a total of 12,000 t of South African RB2 coal were heard today at INR 10,600/t at Gangavaram Port, while a few sellers reportedly sold at higher rates of INR 10,750/t. Portside RB2 prices continue to remain volatile amid fluctuations in import prices. Thermal coal stocks at Gangavaram were assessed at 1.2 mn t during 5-9 Dec’21, down 4% w-o-w, CoalMint data shows.
