India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 10,200/t at Gangavaram

CoalMint heard a confirmed deal for 10,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) coal sold at INR 10,200/t at Gangavaram on 15 Nov’21, as the trajectory of imported coal prices continued to decline. Enquiries from sponge iron manufacturers remained low, with buyers waiting for further correction in prices. RB2 prices have plunged to current levels from more than INR 18,000/t ex-Gangavaram a month ago.
