About 4,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) coal has been sold at INR 15,500/t at Gangavaram port compared to INR 13,500/t on 1 Oct’21. RB2 coal prices at Vizag port were traded at the same levels amid an acute domestic coal shortage coupled with a sharp rise in imported RB1 coal prices, which is trending at $211/t on FOB basis.
