India: South African RB2 coal prices rise by INR 300/t at Ganagavaram Port

In a confirmed deal, 1,000 t of South African RB2 coal was sold at INR 10,900/t at Gangavaram Port, up by INR 300/t since the start of the week. Portside prices of RB2 have been increasing in tandem with the rise in RB1 coal prices, which are assessed at $139.8/t on FOB basis for Dec’21. Limited vessel arrivals and lower stocks at ports continue to fuel the rise in prices, CoalMint notes.
