In a confirmed deal, 6,200 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 8,000/t, ex-Gangavaram today, while RB3 (4,800 NAR) grade coal was last sold at INR 6,500/t ex-Vizag. Bids for imported RB2 coal from sponge iron manufacturers remained largely limited as most were heard to be procuring either domestic or RB3 grade coal, sources informed CoalMint. Amid limited supply, RB2 offers in Mangalore remained firm at INR 8,100/t.
