India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 23,000/t at Haldia Port

In a confirmed deal, 7000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 23000/t at Haldia Port. A few small parcel trades took place at INR 22,000/t at Gangavaram Port. With elevated imported prices, portside trading activity remained weak. A total of 0.25 mnt of South African-coal laden vessels will arrive at Indian ports, mostly imported by end-users, CoalMint data revealed.
