South African iron ore lump import offers increased by $5/t w-o-w as global iron ore prices rose. The assessment for lump (Fe64%) stands at $125/t CNF Kandla on 28 Dec. Benchmark global iron ore fines (Fe 62%) prices increased by $4.15/t, w-o-w to $114.65/t CNF China on 27 Dec. However, the spot iron ore lump premium fell by $0.01/t to $0.11/dmtu w-o-w on 28 Dec.
