South African RB2 (5500 NAR) thermal coal prices rose INR 50/t w-o-w to INR 7,650/t exw-Gangavaram; RB3 (4800 NAR) increased by the same quantum to INR 6,650/t. Import prices at Gangavaram remained stable w-o-w, RB2 at $80/t and RB3 at $69/t. The modest uptrend followed improved sentiment amid railway disruptions in South Africa and renewed demand from China, supporting trader confidence despite earlier market weakness.
