India: SMIORE’s manganese ore output surges y-o-y in Q1FY’26

Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores (SMIORE) recorded manganese ore production of 121,000 t in Q1FY’26, up 42% y-o-y. However, sales of the same decreased 27% y-o-y.
Ferro alloys production stood at 11,026 t in Q1FY’26, up 71% from 6,464 t in Q1FY’25. However, sales decreased sharply by 34% to 6,222 t in Q1FY’26 against 9,396 t in Q1FY’25.
The early onset of the monsoon resulted in slower-than-expected manganese ore sales.
