India: Slight rise in Light & Medium Structure Offers

Light & medium Structure prices in most of the cities improved marginally. Average buying and limited production have led manufacturers to increase their offers.

Slight improvement in buying and firm prices of raw material pushed structure prices up. During the week, prices moved up by INR 100-300/MT.

Friends Structure (brand based in Ahmedabad) prices raised   by INR 100/MT in a week’s time. However, buying is firm in the market and demand is not showing any further improvement in next few months.

 Manufacturers based at Raipur also hiked offers for light section. While, they held offers unchanged for heavy sections.

 Fortune’s Structural prices registered marginal improvement as purchasers from fabrication industries showing their interest for light section.

 Mumbai’s Vaishnav Ispat held offers unchanged but sold material in good quantity. 

As per manufacturers, Primary producers increased offers by INR 500-1,000/MT for March. But, it does not support secondary Structure prices.

 Few manufacturers told SteelMint, “Buying was decent in February compared to this month and we also received booking in good quantity last month.”

However, they don’t confirm the booking quantity which they received in February.
