Gujarat-based Sikka power plant has resumed operations on 27 Apr’22 upon government’s intervention so as to cater the rising power demand in the state. The plant has two units of 250 mega-watt each that are designed to run on imported coal, but due to soaring prices, these were out of service since Sept’21. As per power ministry data, these units have generated 9.4 MU of electricity yesterday.
