Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 500/t d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,000/t ex-yard. The fall in semi-finished steel prices in the last trading session and limited buying inquires for scrap owing to weak sentiments in the spot market weighed on offers by scrap sellers.
