Bhubaneswar: The next round of Shah Commission hearing will start from 13th of this month and is expected to continue till 16th at Ahmadabad. This time the probe panel is scheduled to take up hearing on the detailed blue print of the miners for the overall development of the two mineral rich but under developed Sundargarh and Keonjhar districts of Odisha as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
In the last hearing on April 3rd the panel has asked miners to submit detailed blue print of the proposed developmental works in the two districts. Accordingly six miners KJS Ahluwalia, D.R. Patnaik, Indrani Patnaik, R.P.Sao, Serauddin and Thriveni Earthmovers have agreed to create a Rs 100 crore plus fund for carrying our developmental works in the Sundargarh and Keonjhar districts. This time it is expected that more miners will join the league by extending their contributions to the fund.
“The blue print for Keonjhar and Sundergarh include development of the entire area. The lessees have voluntarily agreed to do something for the betterment of society. They would see that proper mid-day meals are served in the schools, better hospital facility is provided in the areaâ€Â, Justice Shah had said during the last hearing.
