India: Secondary rebar prices up on rising billet, sponge prices

Induction furnace (IF) grade rebar prices remained supported in most major markets of the country today due to rising costs of raw material (billet and sponge iron) except a few markets in the western and southern regions, as per SteelMint reports. Manufacturers in some locations made slight adjustments in their discount offers as per market requirement. However, demand and trade activities are still below par in the spot market and rebar prices are a reflection of price movements in the semi-finished steel market.
