India: Secondary rebar prices fall by up to INR 1,300/t ($18)

Secondary rebar prices remained under pressure due to limited demand and lack of buying inquiries. Prices fell by INR 300-750/t in most of the major markets with major fall of INR 1,300/t observed in the central region (Raipur market). Alongside limited demand, reducing billet and sponge iron prices by INR 200-900/t also remained as an important factor behind decreasing rebar prices.
