The induction furnace (IF) grade rebar market witnessed an improvement in trading activities today in most of the major markets, with re-bar prices moving up in the range of INR 200-600/t d-o-d. However, a few markets in the western and southern regions witnessed subdued trading, which forced manufacturers to adjust prices. Rising semi-finished steel prices in the leading markets of the north and central India, along with a slight recovery in demand, pushed sellers to increase TMT prices in these regions, SteelMint learnt from market participants
