Induction furnace (IF) grade re-bar prices remained supported across markets on 12 Aug’21 owing to the consistent rise in semi-finished steel prices. Moderate transactions were observed in re-bar that varied across markets, while manufacturers in the western and southern regions preferred to keep offers stable with slight adjustments in discounts. Others hiked prices marginally by up to INR 450/t d-o-d. In the near-term, prices are expected to remain rangebound.
