SECL scheduled a major auction for 12 December, offering 3,215,000 t of non-coking coal across Grades G5-G9 and G11-G12. Domestic coal prices stayed under pressure as the market anticipated further softening once this sizeable volume enters the pipeline. Last week, BigMint’s price assessment for domestic coal fell by INR 100-150/t w-o-w, with 5,000 GCV at INR 6,150/t and 4,500 GCV at INR 5,050/t ex-Bilaspur.
