South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), the largest coal producing subsidiary of CIL, has attained yet another milestone in terms of coal production in the current fiscal.
The company has produced 666,000 MT coal as on 18 Mar’19, to record its highest ever coal output in a single day since its inception.
Prior to this SECL’s previous best record for daily coal output was 646,000 MT, achieved back in 31 Mar’14.
The staggering performance in terms of coal output and dispatch during FY19 clearly indicates the SECL’s objective to meet the coal requirement in the country.
Interestingly, SECL had reported its best ever coal production and dispatch in a single day during the FY19 itself.
The company has attained its best ever coal dispatch of 500,000 MT on daily basis as on 20 Feb’19.
SECL coal production had reached 144.23 MnT till 10 Mar’19 in the FY19, which was 7% more than that achieved in the same period of previous fiscal.
It is pertinent to note that the company has attained the 144 MnT mark (which was the total output in the last fiscal), 21 days ahead of the fiscal completion.
