The Ludhiana Scrap Traders Association has halted the supply of ferrous scrap to the region’s steel industry till 12 Jun’21, as per SteelMint reports. The reasons cited are high volatility in semi-finished steel prices, grade bias among producers and internal disputes between suppliers and buyers. The decision to stop scrap supply is expected to support prices in North India. The association has advised all its members to comply with the guidelines, market sources said.
