A total of 9 vessels comprising 75,632 light displacement tonnage (LDT) were received at Alang for recycling in Dec’22, with a decrease of 33% from the 112,659 LDT received in Nov’22. The Indian ship-breaking market was less active for the month with a 4% decline in the average m-o-m prices. However, buyers were hesitant as they were expecting a further drop in prices.
