- A total of 11 vessels with combined light displacement tonnage (LDT) of 71,745 were received at Alang for recycling in Jun’22, down 61% compared with 182,836 LDT in May.
- Imports fell as ship recyclers were in a state of confusion as they were unable to float firm offers amidst highly volatile conditions. There was a huge gap between price expectations of sellers and buyers which led to a sharp fall in imports.
