Scrap suppliers in Gujarat’s Alang market are raising prices continuously. Heavy melting scrap(HMS 80:20) prices are up by INR 300/t to INR 40,300/t exw, while attachment scrap prices are at INR 41,300/t exw. Sharp rise in prices of substitutes such as sponge iron and improved transactions in semis as well as scrap in yesterday’s trading session are providing support to suppliers to raise offers.
