US/UK/ Middle-East origin Shredded scrap offers to India
(Mumbai), lies in between $415-420/MT range CFR Nhava Sheva as per market
participants.
However a deal of around 1000 tons for HMS I &
II (80:20), UK based material is heard to be concluded by a trader at $400/MT
CFR Nhava Sheva. A Mumbai based trader reported that selling of about 250 tons
of US-origin HMS I & II (80:20) was made from his hand.
Shredded scrap prices remain at same level of 420/MT
CFR Nhava Sheva. Overall Indian imported Scrap market prices remain firm on
weaker finished steel demand. And same is the case with Indian domestic market; prices remain constant across the country. Traders are expecting some improvement in
market in nearby time.
