Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for around 200 t of silico manganese (0-3 mm) on 31 Aug’21 from its Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant in Maharashtra. The base price was set at INR 59,400/t but buyers showed no interest and the auction closed without a single bid being placed. At the previous auction on 18 Aug, a similar quantity of 3-10mm material had been booked at INR 77,250/t exw.
