Govt owned Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) conducted two auctions today for a total of 9,000 t basic grade pig iron from its Bhilai and Burnpur plants. Both the auctions fetched decent response. Auction at BSP received bids at INR 26,900-27,050/t ex-Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, stable against last auction while ISP auction received bids at INR 27,550-27,600/t ex-Burnpur, lower by INR 250/t against last auction on 12 Oct’20.
