SAIL held an auction for 10,800 t of basic pig iron (in 108 units) on 27 Apr’22 from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). The base price was at around INR 58,000/t. However, buyers booked only one lot (100 t) at INR 58,000/t exw. At the company’s previous auction on 21 Apr, buyers had booked 4,300 t of similar grade material at INR 59,800-60,000/t exw.
