Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) conducted an e-auction today for 40,000 t iron ore fines (Fe 61.3%) from its Barsua mines in Odisha. According to trade sources report to SteelMint, the base price was set at INR 2,000/t (loaded, taxes extra). The auction did not elicit a response. In the last auction conducted on 7 Aug’20, entire quantity of 100,000 t fines (Fe 62.5%) was booked at INR 1,790-1,800/t (loaded, taxes extra).
