India: SAIL’s iron ore dispatches up 9.8% y-o-y in Feb’21

Iron ore mines under SAIL’s Raw Materials Division (RMD) in Odisha and Jharkhand have recorded 9.8% growth in dispatches y-o-y in Feb’21, as gleaned by SteelMint from a recent update on Twitter. While SAIL’s iron ore production was recorded at 3.25 mn t for the month, the Bolani, Kiriburu and Taldih mines clocked best-ever monthly production and dispatch numbers in Feb’21. With nearly 0.6 mn t of monthly production, Bolani recorded the highest run of mine (ROM) ore production in a day at 22,420 t on 26 Feb’21.
