India: SAIL’s crude steel output rises 31% on year in Apr-Sep’21

State-owned steel major SAIL has reported growth in both steel production and sales in H1FY’22 compared to the same period last year (H1FY’21).

• Crude steel output stood at 8.24 mn t, up 31%
• Hot metal output increased 31.13% to 8.93 mn t
• Saleable steel production rose to 8.09 mnt, up 34.16%
• Steel sales were reported at 7.61 mn t, up 18.17%.
