Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for around 6,200 t (2850×2 rakes & 500 t by road) pig iron on 09 Apr ’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant, Jharkhand. The auction received no bid as buyers showed no interest. In the previous auction conducted on 31 Mar ’21, one rake was concluded at INR 37,200/t exw. Another auction from SAIL-Durgapur conducted today for 600 t pig iron was booked at INR 38,675/t exw.
