State-owned Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 8,550 t (2,850×3 rakes) of pig iron on 26 May’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand. Compared to the previous auction, the company reduced the base price by INR 2,000/t. However, despite this reduction, the auction failed to attract buyers and closed without a single bid. In the previous auction conducted on 12 May’21, one rake had been concluded at INR 39,150/t, exw.
