State-owned SAIL has floated an export tender for 18,900 t of billets (150mm, 4/5SP) for which bids are due on 7 Feb’22. The shipment is scheduled towards mid- April. India’s billet export shipments stood at 5.63 mnt in CY’21, down 14% y-o-y against 6.55 mnt in CY’20.
