State-owned steel producer SAIL’s auction of 40,000 t of mill scale sludge from its Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand on 28 Jan’21 garnered positive response with the allotted quantity getting booked at INR 5,500-5,800/t (ex-works), SteelMint gleaned from sources. The auction was on an “as is where is” basis with a lifting period of 15 months. SteelMint’s assessment for mill scale (ex-Raipur) currently stands at INR 6,450/t.
