Steel major SAIL has scheduled an auction for 4,000 t (two rakes) of basic grade pig iron on 14 Aug’21. At the previous auction held on 7 Jul, a total of 4,850 t of pig iron was concluded at INR 35,100/t. sources reported. Bids fell by INR 1,600/t compared to the previous auction conducted on 23 Jun’21 for 4,000 t, which had been concluded at a weighted average price of INR 36,700/t exw, as per SteelMint reports.
