India: SAIL to auction 10,800 t commercial rails from Bhilai Steel Plant

Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has scheduled an auction for 10,800 t (60 kg and 52kg, full length) commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh on 11 Aug’21. At the previous auction on 30 Jul, 60 kg rails were booked at INR 42,000/t exw. As per data maintained with SteelMint, bids dropped by INR 500/t. Another auction conducted on 20 Jul saw 60 kg rails getting booked at INR 42,500/t exw.
