As per latest reports, experts at SAIL-ISP have successfully developed and commercialised a special quality wire rod grade for metal inert gas (MIG) welding electrodes. This special steel has the highest yield strength in the long products wire segment, as per latest reports.
- The wire rods are produced in accordance with the standards of American Welding Society.
- The copper-coated special quality welding electrodes are used for continuous welding in the automotive industry as well other critical fabrication work that require the highest steel standards.
- With this breakthrough, SAIL is gearing itself to cater to this niche market.
