Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) held an auction for 795 t of iron scrap (recovery rate 78%-83%) on 9 Jun’22 from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at around INR 40,100/t exw. Also, one lot of 270 t of pig casting machine (PCM) scrap was booked at INR 39,100/t exw. SteelMint’s daily HMS 80:20 assessment stood at INR 39,800/t at Raipur on 10 Jun.
