PSU steelmaker Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has scheduled an auction for 4,000 t of steel grade pig iron (in 40 units) from Rourkela Steel Plant in Odisha on 9 Jul’21. As per SteelMint reports, out of the total quantity offered at the previous auction from RSP, 2,900 t was booked at INR 36,000/t exw. Bid prices decreased by INR 1,200/t ($16). Incidentally, SAIL’s Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), too, has scheduled an auction for 1,000 t of pig iron on the same day.
