PSU steelmaker Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has scheduled an auction for 3,600 t of steel grade pig iron (in 36 units) from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Odisha on 23 Aug’21. At the previous auction on 16 Aug, 3,000 t of pig iron was booked at INR 38,200/t exw, as per SteelMint reports. Bid prices increased by INR 300/t ($4/t) compared with the earlier auction on 9 Aug which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 37,900/t exw.
