Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 40,000-t iron ore on 14 Oct’25. Of this, 20,000 t of CLO (Fe 60%) were sold at a base price of INR 5,500/t, while 20,000 t of tailings (Fe 61.21%) were booked at a base price of INR 5,000/t. Prices are on a FOR loaded into rake basis and include royalty, DMF, NMEDT, and additional premium.
