Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) held an auction for 4,000 t of basic grade pig iron (in 40 units) on 14 Mar’22 from Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Buyers actively participated in the auction and booked the entire quantity at INR 56,000-57,300/t exw. The weighted average price of bids was INR 56,462/t exw, which is higher by INR 972/t compared to the previous auction from RSP on 8 Mar.
