India: SAIL-RSP clocks steel production at over 0.9 mn t in Q1 FY’22

State-owned SAIL’s Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has posted the best-ever quarterly results in the first quarter of FY’22. Highlights:

• Crude steel production was recorded at 901,829 t, the highest ever since 2019.
• Hot metal production was at 975,751 t, the highest ever since 2019.
• Saleable steel output stood at 840146 t, highest since 2019.
• Saleable steel dispatches totalled 842,587 t, the best-ever since 2018.
• Steel plate output was recorded at 134,505 t and dispatches were at 228,414 t.
