SAIL Rourkela conducted a crude coal tar auction on 19 Mar’26, where the entire 2,000 t were sold at an average weighted price of INR 50,425/t. This represents a sharp increase of INR 15,225/t (43.3%) compared to INR 35,200/t in the previous auction held on 19 Feb’26. The significant price rise reflects strong demand, tight supply conditions, and improved market sentiment.
